This is the model for spas. For a swimming pool, you need the StarBurst SP2500 — same range, different dimensions. Check the diameter of the opening in your wall before ordering: the finish of this one is 3.5 in (8.9 cm).

12 V AC power supply only. This projector connects to your spa's low-voltage lighting circuit. Never plug it into 120 V: you would destroy the unit instantly and the warranty would not apply.

Compatibility and Installation

Transformer No additional transformer is required if your spa already provides a 12 V AC lighting output — which is the case for the vast majority. Otherwise, one is needed.
For a swimming pool This model is designed for spas. The StarBurst SP2500 is the version for swimming pools.

What is the difference with the StarBurst SP2500?The SP1000 is the model for spas, with a 3.5-inch finish. The SP2500 is the version for swimming pools. Choose the one that matches your pool and the diameter of your current opening.
Do I need a transformer?Not if your spa already powers its lighting with 12 V AC, which is the case for most residential spas. If your installation does not have a low-voltage output, a transformer becomes necessary — write to us, and we'll tell you which one.
Does it directly replace my current light?Yes, if your original unit is an SP1000. The opening in the wall is retained. Nevertheless, measure the finish diameter before ordering: 3.5 in.
How do you change the colors?Using your spa's lighting control. If you are unsure how it works with your model, give us your spa's brand and we will check with you.

Does the warranty cover improper power supply?No. The one-year warranty covers manufacturing defects. Connecting to a voltage other than 12 V AC will destroy the unit and is not covered.
