Replacement weir gate for Waterway spa skimmer. The gate pivots with the water flow thanks to its foam float: it accelerates surface skimming and prevents debris from escaping the basket when the pump stops. Replace as soon as the foam is waterlogged or the gate is cracked.

Measure your old door before ordering. Skimmer weir doors look very similar from one brand to another, but they are not interchangeable. This one is 4¾ inches (12.1 cm) long by 5 inches (12.7 cm) high and has the Waterway reference 519-4050. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your skimmer: we will confirm with you.
What is the purpose of the weir gate?
It improves skimmingBy pivoting at water level, it accelerates the surface current towards the basket: leaves, insects, and grease are sucked up faster.
It retains debrisWhen the pump stops, the gate closes and prevents what is already in the basket from returning to the pool.
The float follows the levelThe foam keeps the gate afloat and allows it to adjust itself to variations in water level.

Why doesn't my gate float anymore?This is normal wear and tear: the foam absorbs water over the seasons and loses its buoyancy. There is nothing to repair, the gate needs to be replaced.
